Shanghai is a "shopping paradise"! When outsiders and foreigners come to Shanghai, they would invariably like to stroll along its main streets and roads, looking for Shanghai-made things and buy some of those commodities with special Shanghai flavor to be brought back when they return home as souvenirs, keepsakes or gifts for their relatives and friends. Products are of great quality and come for a good price. Nevertheless, in high class boutiques, you will not find bargains on high fashions and imports.

Since the first half of the 20th century, Shanghai has developed into China's largest commercial city. The city has developed domestic and foreign trade and better communications facilities. Numerous shops in the city sell local, special and famous products from other parts of the country or foreign countries. In the past several decades, shops in Shanghai have been famous for their long history and better quality, wide variety, different styles and colors of their products at home and abroad. The major Shopping areas of Shanghai are Nanjing East Road, Huaihai Road, and Xujiahui. These three areas are all known for their mid-scale to high-class department stores and boutiques. Shanghai Westgate Mall is a favorite among Shanghainese shoppers. It is among the most popular malls in Shanghai. With big names like Haagan Daaz, Isetan, Giovanni Valentino, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Burberry settingup shop here, who can stay away? The spacious mall is designed in a contemporary style but has borrowed much from the classical. The dominant color is blood orange, and he environment is comfortable. Pedestrian-Only Nanjing Road is famous as the first shopping street in China and the busiest shopping center in Shanghai. It boasts more than 600 shops including old shops, famous shops and shops with distinctive features. The Pedestrian-Only Nanjing Road has become the largest round the clock shopping center in the city, in the country and even in Asia.

They have nice acrobatic show in the Theater.

One of the few big shopping malls in Pudong Area. There are many super market centric shopping areas - like those around Carefour, or Lotus, but not too much complex like the Super Brand Mall - with a lot of restaurants, theater, and shops.
